Meeting Jett was like lightning. Dangerous. Better left untouched. And better forgotten. But lightning always strikes twice.

Brooke Stewart, a realtor in New York, doesn’t do relationships. When she’s sent to a remote estate to finalize a real estate deal, she discovers her new boss is no other than the guy she left naked in bed.

Sexy, dangerously handsome, and arrogant Jett Mayfield attracts trouble, and women, like a lightning rod. But the night he meets Brooke he gets more than he bargained for. The green-eyed millionaire playboy isn’t used to taking no for an answer, and he isn’t about to start now.

When he proposes two months of no strings sex, Brooke is intrigued and accepts his proposal. Little does she know Jett’s determined to claim the one woman he can’t have, pulling her deeper into his dangerous world.

A man who doesn't take 'no' for an answer.
A woman afraid to surrender to love.
Two lives that are about to cross...and secrets laid bare.

The Review: Ummm....why did I believe that this was a story involving a rock star? Well,  I was totally wrong! Surrender Your Love is a book that I believe many people will love. Me, I just liked it and there's a reason for that. I loved J.C Reed's writing style and I really liked the characters but it's more to do with the theme of the story. I've feel as though I've 'too' many stories with the same story line. Had I have read this book over a year ago, I properly would have loved it, but now I guess I'm feeling a little bit over it. I guess it comes down to my moods, because I really haven't been in the mood for something like this in a while, so like I said, it's nothing against J.C's work, it's just that I've read so many stories similar.

Saying that though, I did enjoyed Surrender Your Love. It's hot and slightly addictive and it will definitely appeal to the Fifty Shade fans or Crossfire fans. Even with the slow start, it somehow manages to draw you in. Brooke is a character that we could possibly relate too. She's strong willed, determined and dedicated. She works hard to get what she wants and she tries to always be a better person. Meeting Jett Mayfield was totally unexpected for her. She was kind of stuck in an average day to day job and relationship that she knew wasn't going anywhere. But then she meets Jett and her world suddenly changes. She's unsure of her position in his life because with Jett, you just never know. Jett has similar traits to the likes of Christian Grey - he's professional and honest, kind of pushy in a sexy way and knows what he wants. He's very determined to get what ever he wants too, and that includes Brooke. I liked their scenes together and I did enjoy the hot and steamy scenes. I felt at times, there needed some more emotions in certain scenes, but otherwise the story was still a likable one.

One thing I will say is J.C really threw a spanner in at the end of the story with a certain revelation. It was totally unexpected and I didn't see it coming. It did leave me questioning whether or not I wanted to pick up the sequel Conquer your Love, but for the time being, I'm going to wait and hopefully, once I feel in the mood for this type of story, it's definitely the first book I'm picking up.
